Making Of Audi A4

Audi A4 final render

I start modeling this one about an year ago. But couldn’t finish until last week because of my exam and other stuff. Modeled with 3ds Max-7 and rendered with 3ds Max-2010.

It used Polygon modeling and everything modeled from a basic plane.

After completing the body I start adding the decorative items such as headlights, grills and emblems.

And with mesh smooth it looks like this.

I modeled the wheel separately so I can use it in some other scene.

For the rendering I opened the scene with 3ds Max 2010 cause 3ds Max 7’s render didn’t satisfy me. I used ‘Mental Ray Renderer’ and few of its materials. A ‘Car Paint Material’ is used as the body’s material and a ‘Pro Material: Glazing’ for windscreens. And also some ‘Arch & Design’ materials are used.

A cylindrical shaped studio is used as the car’s background and 7 lights for the lighting. But only 3 lights illuminate the car as other 4 spot lights are illuminating the studio wall for decoration.

Finally rendering was done with ‘Final Gather’ and ‘Global Illumination’. I also added some fake reflections to get a realistic look.
